So, things are moving along... Baza has nearly caught up with me with recording (although not for long... come this time next week I will have bust one song left)... WOAH!!!!
Just remembered, I have to send an e-mail!! - Bear with me!
Right, I had to deliver a message to someone.... A very special someone.... I can't say more than that =]
So, lyrics for Incendry, Jettisonned and Hope are pretty much sorted and Imperious is coming along nicely although I am still stumped with Paris - I've never had to write to something like that, so it is a real challenge and I may have to seek outside help from a couple of jazz/blues musos.
In this blog I have decided that I'll share with you a few quotes that have inspired me to write lyrics while with [auda]*.
"Music lies more gently on the spirit than tired eyelids on tired eyes." - Alfred Lord Tennyson
"Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter." - John Keats
"A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence." - Leopold Stokowski
"Music is what feelings sound like."
"Play the music, not the instrument."
When there are so many lonely people, as seem to be alone. It would be inexcusably selfish to be lonely alone." - Tennessee Williams
"Music is moonlight in the gloomy night of life." - Jean Paul Richter
"No good opera plot can be sensible:... people do not sing when they are feeling sensible." - W.H. Auden
"I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying." - Woody Allen
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." - Henry David Thoreau
"Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly." - Lanston Hughes
"You're happiest while you're making the greatest contribution." - Robert F. Kennedy
"A loving heart is the truest wisdom." - Charles Dickens
"I never think of the future - it comes soon enough." - Albert Einstein
"All misfortune is but a stepping stone to fortune." - Henry David Thoreau
"Obstacles are great incentives." - Jules Michelet
"Where all think alike, no one thinks very much." - Walter Lipman
These
were just a few of the quotes that keep me inspired, and they mean so
much more once you know more about the people themselves.
A lot of these quotes can be understood, but only once you feel them can you see the true meaning.
I hope these inspire you as much as they have done me.
Buh Bye Cherubs!
